Amber Class - About Us
Ms Zelechowska (Teacher - Mrs M. Gaj (Teaching Partner) - Mrs Jnagal (Teaching Partner)
The children in the Amber class follow a broad and balanced curriculum which is differentiated to meet their individual learning needs. They are taught all curriculum subjects such as English, Maths, Science, History etc. Their school day is highly structured and their learning is continually supported by the use of symbols/photos/signs and sensory activities such as exercise, brain gym, relaxation, fine and gross motor work.
Advice from the Speech and Language Therapist, the Educational Psychologist and the Occupational Therapist is also incorporated into their routine.
Inclusion with the mainstream children has contributed positively to the education of the children in the Amber class. With support, they eat lunch in the dinner hall. They also participate in activities organised by the Nursery, Reception and Key Stage 1 classes. At playtimes, they play with their mainstream peers.
